german rolls and pretzels/ deutsche broetchen und bretzeln

On early Sunday morning I took Mateo to the urgent care unit. As it turns out he has croup. He was already feeling much better by the time we got there, but I am so glad we went. Dear boy, could hardly breathe and therefore didn't sleep very much (therefore neither did I). After the visit, the three of us needed a treat.

I decided to stop at Esthers German Bakery who always has a stand on the farmer's market. The brisk fresh morning air with the spirit of the market felt good. The fresh air also helped Mateo feel much better, whom I had all cozy in the sling.

So we bought a couple of rolls and pretzels to take home. Something familiar from my home country, a cup of warm tee, and strawberry jam, made the morning look all well again.

Frueh am Sonntag morgen musste ich Mateo zum Arzt fahren, da er nur schwer Luft bekam. Wie es sich raus stellt hat er Krupp. Es ging ihm aber schon besser als wir beim Arzt ankamen. Mein Kleiner konnte kaum atmen und hat somit auch nicht viel geschlafen (ich also auch nicht!). Nach unserem Termin brauchten wir drei eine Belohnung.

Ich habe entschieden bei Esthers Deutscher Baeckerei anzuhalten, die auch immer einen Stand auf dem Mark hat.

Die frische Morgen Luft und das Gemuet vom Markt tat schon gut. Die frische Luft hat auch dem Mateo gut getan. Ich hatte Ihn ganz eingemummelt im Tragetuch.

Somit haben wir ein paar Broetchen und Bretzeln mit nach Hause genommen. Etwas Gewohntes aus Deutschland, eine Tasse warmen Tee, und Erbeermarmelade hat den Morgen doch wieder gut aussehen lassen.

But now quickly, someone is hungry!!!!
